Scotsman

This video may cause motion sickness, but it shows what we're talking about.

Wait what???

Ok I still don't understand where "milk the cow" has anything to do with the reference to a Scotsman in that school pride song...

Winter in Ogden

Here are some beautiful pictures that I took after our first big snowfall. See Ogden's not so bad.

ROCKTON HERE I COME!

I'm very Excited that I am coming home tomorrow. I should be studying for my last final right now but this is more fun. I am happy that this semester is over. Regarding the comment where bizzie called herself gay. I think that should go up for the funniest thing of the month. Anyway, I need to study. Just thought I'd say howdy. Howdy. P.S. Sam you're getting coal for christmas. Santa told me you've been very naughty. Tisk, tisk.

Bizzie READ

Hey Biz, I talked to Brandon and he is going to go to school at Beloit College despite not really wanting to, he has received answers to his prayers saying Beloit was where he needed to be. So he'll be around! He also was up for meeting you, he said before his mission he was kind of stupid to the whole dating thing. He also said he wants to date a girl that can get his wackiness, I said you'll meet your match with this one! Just kidding I just said it would be cool if you guys could get together. He looks taller, he lost all his weight but looks more sturdy if ya ask me! I told him you would be here December 12. I'm not going to hound you like before...sorry about that.

My story is better...

So one of my friends at church and I went to Old Navy to gt some kids clothes for church. We were looking for shirts for our husbands...nothing snazzy, just some printed long sleeve thermals. We had this genious idea to get matching shirts for our husbands to wear without their knowledge. So we made dinner plans for Famous Dave's on Friday and carefully executed our plan to embarass the heck out of our husbands.

So I told Brian he had to wear this shirt Sheri had picked out for him, so then she would feel good. Being the wonderful, sweet, kind, and delightful husband he is, he did it. They came to pick us up without a hitch. We get to Famous Dave's, Sheri and her husband Bryan sit down right away and Sheri and I can't stop laughing. It was so freaking funny. The husbands can't figure out why we are nearly dying of laughter. Brian just thinks we're being dumb until he looks at Bryan Kwapis's shirt and looks down at his own, looks at me and says, "oh my gosh Jamie!" Sheri and I couldn't even talk we were laughing so hard. Bryan K. didn't even realize what had happened until Brian walked away to the bathroom. We had to tell him that we put them in matching shirts! Bryan K. just kept saying, "what kind of people do that to their husbands, seriously you guys are retarded." Brian got back to the table and Brian K. just kept saying, "what is wrong with you two?" Anyway I had brought my camera but Brian turned his shirt inside out and refused to let me take a picture. This was the highlight of the freaking rest of the year, unless we can do it again. So our little inside joke for our hubbies is where are your shirts?

Funny Story of the Month

So I just decided we should have a funn story of the month contest. Granted I thought of this idea because I have a hilarious story that's probably going to take December but any how we should do it. Here is my story:
Liz and I went to get our oil changed on Saturday and we had to wait about 20 minutes in the lobby. The clerk called me up and said "How do I say your last name?" I told him how to say it, and then he asked, "Is that Polish?" I told him it was Hungarian. Then he says to me "Welcome to America. How long have you been here?" No joke he seriously thought I was an immigrant. It was all I could do not to just laugh in his face. So there it is top that if you can!

Brian the Builder

I think this is a more appropriate picture for the occasion. And remember watch out for that damn scarecrow!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Brian for getting accepted into his heavy machinery apprenticeship!

Thought for the day

I'm sure that you all have seen those cell phone commercials where people are saying that they need their network to work in all these different places and then merge those places into one word. I was thinking about that the other night and I wondered what our network would be with all of us all over the country. I came up with South Beloglorocklakeington (South Beloit, Ogden, Logan, Rockton, Lakewood and Arlington).

This one is better!

Here's the updated desktop. I'm sooooooooo sorry Jamie. When I was putting it together I thought "Oh! I don't have a pic of Jamie. I'll have to fire up the old computer to get it off of there." And that's as far as I got. I spent this weekend moving pics and other crap off of the old and onto the new so now it's the whole family like it was supposed to be. I hope you all love it and if you don't too bad, I do. :)

Homer

Instead of just texting Biz, Ben, and Brian my favorite Homer quotes I hear I thought I'd put my latest on the tribune for everyone to laugh at, sooo here's Homer on Marges gambling problem, "The only monster here is the gambling monster that has enslaved your mother! I call him Gamblor, and it's time to snatch your mother from his neon claws."

I thought I'd share this with you guys. This is my currect desktop at work put together from pics you've posted and some I had on my computer. Enjoy!

The adventures of Amelia Bedelia...

Yesterday at work, I turned around to put something in a bin and I slipped and face planted right into a huge box of cardboard. I thought the boy I was working with would never recover from laughing. It was pretty embarassing but at least I held onto the stuff in my hands as I soared into a recycling bin. Don't worry family I was not hurt in the incident but I'm afraid our family name was! :)

and in DC . . .

We went to George Washington's Mansion. He had quite the view! Then we went to my Brother's house in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Ben won me a crock pot at Hershey Park! Isn't that romantic?

Illinois Thanksgiving

I forgot to take a picture of the food, but it was really good. We had Jamie, Julee, Brian, Julee's mom, and the missionaries over.

Happy T-giving Ya'll

I hope all of you have a wonderful turkey day tommorow. I know that Katie, Bizzie, and I will. We will be thinking of all of you as we sit in Bizzie's apartment stuffing our faces. Just two more weeks till we get to come back to loving Illinois. I can't wait. See you all soon. Love you all.

Who put that picture up of all of us?

Anyway...

Mortification and gay wizards aside.. I believe I can come up with something interesting let's think..Ok well Biz and Jes disregard because you were there, but we have a new chapter in Captain Carl's Crazy World of Weirdness (a preliminary title for the book mind you). Ok "Chapter 56: When out with your family in, let's say, a capital city and someone is needed to take a picture of all of you, a good idea is to ask a strange girl writing in her journal by a fountain. However don't just walk away after the picture is taken, offer to take a picture of her as well and mail it to her. This will surely bring the laughter from all that you have been longing to hear."

Horrified!

Picture it Wednesday night driving home from church in Mom's car, I was belting out the song Bubbly and I decided to call Nate because he told me to call him when I got out of church so anyway I was calling him still singing and listening to the song really loud cause I like it, and I called once but he didn't answer cause he hardly ever answers on the first ring, so I called again and who answers his MOM!!!! I was still singing and I just wanted to drive into on coming traffic I was so mortified!! She said um Nate is helping his Dad can he call you back I just wanted to die and I don't know how I will show my face at their house after that!!!!!!!! This is now one of my most embarrassing moments! I'm just going to go die now!!!!

Somebody Write Something

I think someone, besides me obviously, should write something interesting that we can all comment upon. Like, "Oh my did you hear Dumbeldore had a love triangle with Voldemort and Mrs. Norris?" True story J.K. said so just the other day. There now discuss that if you dare.

Recycle or Die!!

Today was my first day of work! It wasn't too bad, I just sorted containers. But I get to learn how to drive a fork lift so I can move big boxes of recyclables on pallets around. So that should be funny. Anyway, in honor of my job I would like to share with you a poem I wrote way back in Mrs. Hagan's 7th grade reading class. Enjoy!
All About Me
I am a loud girl who likes to recycle
I wonder why there is no peace
I hear trees being cut down and dying
I see their look of fear on their face as they die
I want to do something great before I die
I am a loud girl who likes to recycle

I pretend I am alone in the world
I feel time slipping through my fingers
I touch the clouds
I worry for the poor countries
I cry when someone close to me dies
I am a loud girl who likes to recycle

I understand we will never be perfect
I say who needs perfection?
I dream that we can all live in peace
I try to make everyone I meet smile
I hope mankind can get along
I am a loud girl who likes to recycle

Yesterday Nate took me to a NIU football game, it was my first college football game. It was really cold !!!!! But it was really fun, I'm glad I decide not to go there because it was really weird down there with a lot of weird people. But they won so it was even better. They played Kent State and won 27-20. But before the game we went and had gyros which I tried for the first time they were good but I didn't like the cumber sauce.

25, AHHHHH!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone. It was a fabulous day. Ben took me Ice Skating, which I love. We weren't so good at it, but at least we didn't fall. Then we went out for Indian food. Why hasn't Captain Carl jumped on this new endeavor..I haven't heard "sez", what does it mean "says"?
Two accounts? What are you talking about? man way to join the blog and write nonsense..

Did you know?

Did you all know that we have two accounts who live in Afghanistan in our family? Can you guess who they are?
Okay so I finally joined the blog. I apologize that school and work have kept me from this. Anyway, I'm happy that we can all talk on yet another medium. Hope to hear from you all soon. Luv u. P.S. has anyone else experienced dad's new word "sez". It's great. Just as him.

I didn't post Hello to the o Jamie did under my name just in case anyone was wondering

update

Last week I found out that my company sent in my application to the apprenticeship program and two weeks ago they purchased excel excavation so we now have backhoes, bulldozers and front end loaders, etc. I still haven't heard from the board to know if I have been accepted into the program.

Hell to the o

Ok, probably not the best intro for this week...but oh well. So Brian is taking shifts at the station now, he has 10 a month or so. He also applied for his apprenticeship and should start working with his mentor soon. His classes for operating heavy equipment start in January I think? He had a review just last week and hopefully he'll get some kind of raise soon. He works super hard and I'm very proud of the commitments he has made. I'll post some firefighting pics soon. Anyway Jack-Jack is still the best little boy ever and Noah is precious, wild, but precious. He was a spider for Halloween which was hilarious. We are thinking of saving to come to Utah maybe in May or so...We want to be there for Jess's graduation and see our old friends. Life is good, hard, but good. Bizz, how's that boyfriend of yours? Someone tell Jessica to sign up for this blog thing! Katie you made a wonderful Voldamort, can't wait to see the havoc you reaped...(ha!ha! ha!)

Hollar

Hi to All,
Yes, it's actually me....I've really enjoyed the pictures and tales. Good idea Liz, thanks. Last night we helped President Ward box up their house to get it ready for sale. They have bought a condo in Belvidere and are going through thirty years of clutter. WOW made me think of all our clutter. Starting to get cold here which means Christmas is around the corner. Not too early to get those lists to me. Also, please let us know what your travel plans are so we can get tickets. There will be no changing tickets this year so get the return date home correct. Well, I have Stake Training tonight as well as Stake Conference so...gotta run. Love to all of you XOXO
