We had Jessica's baby shower on Saturday at a park in Ogden. It was a beautiful day, we had lots of fun (despite not having the right sized bowl for the cotton ball game) and best of all Jess got some great presents! We played baby scramble(which made us all feel dumb), we tried to guess how much string it took to go around Jessica's belly, played the memorize the items on the tray game and we played the cotton ball game (in which Katie gives you FALSE confidence) then we opened presents. Robin Milam (Wheelwright now) won all of the games we think she had an unfair advantage because she's pregnant too. The pictures didn't post in the order I wanted so sorry about that! It was a great day we were so happy to celebrate Jessica and her baby on the way! We love you Jess and we can't wait to meet you Jazella!!

Look out below!!

Disclaimer: Most of you know this story already but you needed to see photographic evidence!

Picture it: It's a fine Sunday afternoon and a young unsuspecting couple are walking home from church, as they pass by underneath a tree they hear a rustling above their heads. They assume that is it an animal so they quicken their pace a little but aren't really worried about it. Then all of the sudden the sound gets louder and before they know it they are struck by an enormous tree branch! The woman screams out in shock and pain and the man screams "I just got hit by a tree branch" (not realizing that the woman did too, he thought she screamed out of concern for him....guess again). They were never the same again.
It was so crazy that the branch fell with the perfect timing to hit us right on the head and we were grateful that no one saw what happened. I got leaves in my mouth, hair and down my shirt and I got a scratch on on my forehead and arms and a headache. Other than that we survived to live another day! We're just glad we didn't look up to see what it was.

Family Vote

I was addressing my thank you notes tonight when I thought it might be a good idea to put all our addresses up on here (since so many of us move every year or two).  But then I realized, what fool puts 7 personal addresses up on the open internet?!?!?

That got me wondering if we should go private?  You can all say NO, but I just thought it might make it easier for us to put up more personal info.  We could invite up to 100 readers.  I know there are some cousins and perhaps family friends who look at this.

Just let me know what you think.

Oh, and either way . . . I need everyone's addresses.  Cause I don't have any of them!

Ludington Michigan

For several years the Haberstroh family spent their summer vacation in Ludington, MI eating hamburgers, ice cream and playing on the beach.

Dinner at the Wood's

Last night we met Dad in Ogden for dinner with the Wood's. It was so much fun to be with everyone again, and to see Dad while he is out here. Hopefully we can see him again before he leaves for Illinois. Jessica is just getting bigger and bigger, little Jazzie was moving all around it was cool and weird looking at her stomach move. Jazzie is stubborn right when you put your hand on Jessica's stomach she will stop moving. Next week is Jessica's baby shower so we will have a lot more pictures to post. Love you all!

Too Early for Halloween?

I don't think so. Here is my favorite zombie music video (sorry MJ).

If you haven't heard of Leslie Hall before check out her other videos. I'm particularly fond of Tight Pants/Body Rolls!

Bonus: BoingBoing Interview

White Pine Lake

Katie and I went hiking on Labor Day to White pine Lake, and it was so cool. There were sheep on the side of the mountain and they were so loud! And we were almost attcked by a crazy cow on the way back, it was so much fun the first time I have hiked it. Thanks Katie for a fun day off!

Ultrasound pic

Ok, I'll try to explain this picture so you can tell what it is. The two circle things at the bottom of the pic are her arms/hands. Just above that is her little chin. Then the kinda bean shaped thing right above that are her lips, making a little frown. Right above that is her nose. Just incase you're curious, the blob to the left of her face is the placenta. Hope you can see it. ;)

Bay Village on National Geographic

Check out this photo of lightning striking Lake Erie taken from Huntington Beach in Bay Village that I found on the National Geographic website. Apparently something is screwy with the formatting and you have to click on the photo to actually see all of it.

Pregnancy update- 34 weeks, 6 weeks and counting

Here is a pic of my ever growing belly. We are getting so close to meeting our little girl and its very exciting. We are going to the doctor every two weeks now which makes the time go by so much faster. Although her feet in my ribs can be very uncomfortable at times, I have to say that my pregnancy has been pretty easy going. We have started calling her a little alien because at times it looks and feels like she is going to burst out of my stomach, like in the movie. Cravings and moodiness have been at a minimum, although I have wanted Slurpee's a lot lately. Nesting is definitely in full swing. I have such a strong desire for everything to be neat, clean, and in place. All in all we are pretty much prepared for her arrival, just a few lose ends to tie up. Well just wanted to keep you all up to date. Love you all!
