I forgot to do the pictures backwards so they were in order oh well. This is from my final simulation yesterday for my Rape Aggression Defense class. It was a lot of fun, I learned a lot about fighting off a man and met some interesting girls in there. The three guys in suits are male police officers in Logan one of then Shane Sessions was our instructor and he was so much fun. I'm sad the class is over but at least now I can defend myself!!

Movin' on Up!!

For those of you who don't know I got a new job! I owe it all to the terrible garden center if I hadn't hated my job there with every fiber of my being I wouldn't have looked and found the job I have now! I'm a Recycling Specialist for Salt Lake County. Basically I help give presentations and tours to groups on recycling, and sometimes answer the phone and update recycling materials. Today was my first day and it was pretty good, besides the fact that I got lost going to AND from work (don't ask it was horrible!) The best part is I get a phone! It's just a phone for work so it won't replace my cell phone but it's still cool. The job is only an internship but hopefully it will lead to bigger and better things!

The only downside is we have to move to Salt Lake sooner than we wanted to, we really like our ward and our apartment. Now I have the task of finding us a place to live in the next two weeks before we leave for Europe. It's a busy time but we're happy!

My New Favorite App

I don't know how many of you have an iPhone or iTouch but Simon and I downloaded the Gospel Library app this weekend and we love it. It has the scriptures and all of the church manuals and transcripts of the last two years' General Conferences.  You can highlight, underline, add notes and cross references.  It's also available for the Blackberry, Palm Pre, Android phones, Windows OS phones, Kindles and Nooks.  And it's free!  There's more information about it on the church's tech website too.  I just thought I'd share that with you guys. :)

Cleaned the Sink

I feel like an official USU student now after almost two years I finally cleaned the sink. (Except I'm not a true Aggie yet...) It was soo good! We went Saturday as a part of Cecily's birthday celebration weekend.

Life is good in Lakewood!

Yesterday the weather was beautiful here so Simon and I took a walk down to Lakewood Park. We took some pictures of the lake and then on our way home we saw a deer standing in the middle of the park.  It was just walking around and didn't seem to be bothered by people at all. In fact when we walked past it it came towards us until it was about 10 feet away.

Also this week I got a job at a dental billing company. I'll be starting Monday morning. And Simon was hired on permanently at the company where he was temping. Life is very good in Lakewood! :)
