Made me giggle!

Did anyone notice that someone name anonymous assclown commented on Lauren's post? I thought it was pretty funny. Just thinking the word assclown makes me laugh. It's pretty random! :)

I chopped my do

This past weekend I cut my hair off. I've been wanting to do it for along time. When I saw how cute Katie's hair was it pushed me over the edge. I love it. It is so great. I recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about it. It's only hair, it grows back. Thanks Katie for the inspiration. I love you all and I miss you all so much.

Our fearless leader has passed

I hope by now everyone has heard that President Hinckley died sunday night. He died of old age. He was 97. It is bitter sweet that he is gone. He is now with his sweet wife, whom he loved so much. I know that he is in a much better place and I know that the church will continue to be lead by great men. I had a short cry over his death but I am happy that he is where he is.

Books

So, let's get a conversation going . . . what books are everyone currently reading? I just finished Night by Elie Wiesel and When the Emperor Was Divine. I highly recommend both if you haven't read them already. Easy reads, Night really hits your emotions and When the Emperor Was Divine has beautiful prose. I read them both as a preview for teaching them to my students. I'm really excited, the last novel I tried with them was Things Fall Apart, which we didn't get to finish. Half of them loved it and half of them hated it, to be expected I guess. Another book I have been trying to get through (since Christmas) is Memoirs of a Geisha. I like it, I just have a hard time finding the time to read it. I guess I could spend less time on the computer, but computers take less thought!
