Duck Tape Festival!

Today Simon and I went out to the Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival out in Avon.  It's just a little fair but it was kinda fun.  We got to do duct tape crafts and got a bunch of free stuff.  Unfortunately we missed the parade but we got to see all the floats parked next to the park.

There were a lot of duct tape art projects scattered around.  They were all done by students at the University of the Arts in Pittsburgh.

This was one of the floats from the parade, a duct tape covered Moby. :)

They had a tent where you could do crafts.  There were a bunch of kits available, I did a media pouch and Simon made a wallet. The kits were free but you had to do some or all of the project there in the tent.

Simon as a duct tap go-go dancer.  It's hard to see but that's a duck-bill shaped duck whistle in his mouth.

All of our swag from the festival.  The only things we bought were the big rolls of tape and the duck whistles.

Jumping the Gun

I've already got a registry list going cause I'm so anxious to just go out and spend all our money on cute things for this little guy. So in an effort to restrain myself from blowing our bank account all at once, I've started compiling items on Amazon. I put a link to our registry under our little stork counter.

Jess, once you get a registry going send me the link and I'll add it to your counter.

FYI to everyone . . . Amazon is the coolest. I can go to Carters and Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us and all other store websites and register with all of them on one Amazon list. So don't waste your time with store registries anymore, just go to as many places as you want and add them all together on one registry with Amazon. It's super cool.

Where are those pictures???

So some of you may be wondering where our pictures from Europe are, well I have tried and tried to load them on the blog but it wont work!! I can get one to load after waiting about 20 minutes so I don't want to go through the painful process of putting them all up. So after a lot of failures I was able to put them up on facebook, which works better so you can see more so I don't know how to make a link but go there if you want to see them!!

Hope everyone is doing great! We are liking our new apartment and today we got called to be leaders of the 11 year old boy scouts, were excited about that...but that might change!

Pregnancy Stats

I'm not much to blog about pregnancy, I'm not sure why that is. But here are some fun things you all might enjoy knowing.

When we had our big ultrasound this little baby was SUPER wiggly. At one point he even army saluted us. That was my favorite part. It really felt like a personal "hello" to his mom and dad.

He LOVES when I go swimming. I try to fit in 500-yds three times a week.

He usually somersaults and kicks every few hours (today has been a slow day though).

When I asked Ben what I should add, he told me he loves watching my belly grow. It all happened last weekend. I really didn't look that pregnant before then. Even my coworker, who was the first non-family member I told, said "whoa, when'd you get pregnant?" when we returned to work last Monday. She seemed as shocked as Ben to see my little protrusion just show up over night.

He's going to have to think of a creative way to make his grand entrance into the world, cause when I look at pictures of the whole procedure I want to back out. So we'll see how that goes.

Discovery Center

Yesterday we went to the Discovery Center in Rockford. And that place is really cool even if you're not 10 and under. In one room they could pretend to be news casters and there was a Superman cape in there and Jackson loved it! He did not want to take it off when we walked out. And they loved putting the sports helmets on. It was so fun to watch them understand or try to understand the human skeleton, Jackson was scared of it a little but he loved looking at the x-rays. Both of them are so smart!

Noah's Preschool Graduation

Just like his Uncle Ben, Jackson is stealing Noah's brownie when he wasn't looking.
Noah was the narrator of the Cookie Stealing story and he was so good! There is a video but I can't figure out how to put it up.

Another Golden Girl Gone

This is my two-time awarding winning depiction of Blanche last Halloween. (not pictured: Dorothy, Sophia, Rose)

Rue McClanahan, also known as Blanche Devereaux on the classic television show "The Golden Girls," died today after suffering a stroke. She was 76.
R.I.P Blanche!!!
