Am I the only one left here??

Well, since this has become my own personal blog, I will talk to myself:
-Hey Katie, remember when you went to see Robin Hood last night?
-Oh yeah it was so good! I really like the battle scenes, and it was surprisingly funny.
-That's cool, would you reccommend it to your family?
-Yeah, I would...
the end.

Awesome Podcast

I was looking around for new podcasts to listen to the other day and I came across a really great one.  It's called "Stories from General Conference: Inspirational Messages for Our Time" (you can subscribe to it here).  Each episode centers on a different topic and includes a compilation of stories from recent General Conferences related to that topic. The episodes range in length from 10 to 45 minutes.  I just subscribed last week but it looks like a new episode is released every two weeks or so.

On a related note you can get the broadcasts of General Conference as a podcast too (yes I know they're available on lds.org as well).

Voice of an Angel

OK, first of all Happy Birthday to me...shame on those of you I have yet to hear from, j/k! However, I did hear from my nephews, and Noah sang me the most beautiful rendition of "The Happy Birthday Song," I have ever heard.

Seriously, it was so pretty, and he knew all the words. I informed him of this, and he said something like, "Yeah, I know." Then, I said I wish I had recorded it so I could hear it again and again, and he's like, "I know!" Haha at least he knows he's good! You really should be jealous if you haven't received a serenade like that...I hope I can do him a similar service when I sing to him in two weeks!! :)

WHAT?!?!?!

For those of you not on Facebook (or not very into it) I thought I would share a recent discovery of mine. The same woman who played Mombi in Return to Oz also played Queen Bavmorda in Willow! That's right! Her name is Jean Marsh, and she is a freak!

iTunes Sorcery

So, the other day I was surfing the interwebs, as I often do, and I came across a really interesting piece on one of my new favorite websites, Lifehacker. It was a few tricks to getting the most out of iTunes especially if you have a large music collection.

The basic idea is to create a Smart playlist that plays your 4 and 5 star songs that have not been played in a week (or whatever period of time you like). I know it may seem complicated, but it's really not. I've really enjoyed my new playlist because it brings up good songs that I may not listen to otherwise. Here is a link to the article.
