What's new with us...

These are backwards but whatever I can't figure this out! These are cards that Steve and I made. He made the cardinal and I made the blue jay, we're pretty proud of them so I thought you all should see them.

We went to a Jazz game earlier this month. They played Memphis. It was a good game, we won and it was a lot of fun.

This is a picture from underneath the bean in Chicago. We had such a fun trip and I thought this picture was pretty cool.

This is a picture of Steve and I on a carriage ride around temple square. It was really fun but kinda pricey so we won't be doing that again anytime soon.

And lastly, this is our Christmas tree. Its pretty pathetic but it served its purpose. Next year we'll have to get a real one...

20 lbs in 30 days

So recently my roommate Cecily and I started Jillan Micheal's 30 day shed losing 20 lbs in 30 days and it has so far kicked our butts. And it got me thinking our family should do it to. So I think we should start a competiton whoever loses the weight ( 20 lb) in the time frame will win a $ 20 gift certificate of their choice and everyone participating will chip in. So far Sam, Simon, and I are in. Anyone else?

Sam and Simon have a blog!

We just started it today so there's not much of anything there at the moment but I hope that we'll update kind of regularly.  Here's the link: http://samingram.wordpress.com/

On a completely unrelated note: for those of you that haven't heard Simon is going to be baptized on January 24.  We're hoping that dad can come up to perform the baptism but I'm sure that Elder Heyland will be more than happy to do it if he can't.  It's so wonderful to see the change that has come over Simon as he's learned about the Gospel and I am so excited for him to get baptized.

And I wanted to thank you all for everything you did to make my wedding so special.  Everything was perfect and I'm very grateful I have such a wonderful family who was willing to step up and put everything together on such short notice.  I love you guys!

Oh, and for Aunt Linda, here's the link to the wedding pics:  http://tinyurl.com/yzzpa2g

Blargh!

So, in my rush to close my old gmail account I forgot that it was the primary account for my blog and so when I deleted it, I deleted my blog. My entire blog. I'm really kind of sad about that mostly because now I'll have to start all over. *sigh* Oh well.

My new blog is at:  http://samanatrix.blogspot.com/

I'm engaged!

We had the missionaries over last night and we were talking about covenants and ordinances and the subject of baptism came up. They ask Simon if he would be willing to be baptized a member of the church and he said yes. They then told him that in order for him to be baptized we would either need to be living separately or married. He sat there a thought about that for a minute and then excused himself and went to the bedroom. He came back with a little blue box and said that he was going to wait until Christmas but he couldn't wait anymore. I think the elders were as shocked as I was (although Elder Bushnell said he thought that's what Simon went to get). For a few minutes all I could do was sit there and ask him if he was serious. Then, of course I said yes. We have no definite plans as of yet, but Lauren has already appointed herself my wedding planner. :) Um, yeah, forget that, we're getting married on Christmas Eve.

Here's a picture of the ring, I know it's not the best but it's just a single square cute diamond and I love it!
