Today I am frantically trying to finish a scientific literature paper on managing for wolves while at the same time maintaing steady revenue from hunting permits. This paper has to have 15 scientific references and it is driving me crazy! I've been at the library for 2 days straight and for several hours, Saturday and Sunday. Today, I let my hair go curly and dressed in an oversized sweatshirt because I've just been at the library all day (despite work for a few hours) so it makes me feel like Jessie Spano, being all hopped up on caffeine pills studying for the SATs so she can get into Stanford! I haven't had a major breakdown yet but I'm sure that'll come later in the evening when my pills run out. Luckily, I've commissioned A.C. to come and bring me some dinner!
Sorry too many posts for one day but I finally got my glasses. I really like them but I'm still getting use to them yesterday I got a huge headache from them.
For Easter we went to Katie's house and had ham, mustard sauce, funeral potatoes, vegetables in her secret sauce, and pistachio dessert. All of which was so good. Hope everyone else had a good Easter.
Here are some pictures of the Cherry Blossoms. We didn't get down to the tidal basin until the peak bloom was over. But it was cool to see all the petals covering the ground. We took about 150 pictures, but these were some of my favorites. Enjoy! Oh, on our way back to the metro we came across this tulip garden. DC is so gorgeous in the spring time.
P.S. I rented the movie Australia the other night. LOVED IT!
Back at the dive shack, this is the resort accross the inlet.
On the way home having survived.
Mom exploring the deep.
Mom blowing bubbles
Not a blue whale!
Sea fans
White sponges
Mom holding on to the bouyance control that helps you go up or down. The underwater pictures were all taken on disposable cameras. Next time we go diving I will have a waterproof case for my Nikon.
Mom and I on the dive boat going off to our first "open water" dive. Although mom was very hesitant to jump in the water with 60 lbs of equipment on, she did much better than I and still had over half her air left when the dive was over after about 25 mins. I was at the bare minimum.
Going off to dive class on the first day in Roatan. Mom was convinced I was trying to kill her.
