Sidewalk Chalk

Can you believe this man's artwork? They are so real looking! Well I got these and more in an e-mail, so I thought I would share my favorites with you guys. I think he does this in NYC judging by the background, but I don't know. What I do know is Burt from Mary Poppins has nothing on this guy...

Halloween is on its way..

I know the resolution is terrible, but here is a picture of the pumpkin Linzee and I carved. I did the scene on the left with the zombie hand and creepy tree and Linz did the right side with the tombstone and the killer bat. We're planning on doing one every week til Halloween! Wooo! or should I say Booo, ha ha...

Tri and Picture it.

My partners in crime. Sister-in-law Mel (Jon's wife) and my best buddy Marie. We look pretty happy considering we just put ourselves through a little taste of Hell. (Truthfully, I thought it was fun and I'd do it again next weekend if I could. But unlike Marie and Mel, I didn't really "give it my all." Therefore they ended up in the top 50% of about 300 female participants and I ended up in the bottom 15% :)
If you look close enough you can see a yellow cap rounding off near the dock. I'm pretty sure that is me. Swimming was the craziest part. People just swim right over the top of you. I swear a couple of people even pushed me down on purpose. I made the mistake of swimming sideways a couple of times. I was ticked about that. But my overall time was 30 minutes, right on line with my goal.
This is what killed my time. I took about 4 minutes to get out of the water and on to my bike. Ben was standing off to the side encouraging me to hurry up.
Coming home from my 12.4 mile bike ride. It was a gorgeous trail. Time: 54 minutes. I should have done better.

I sprinted across the finish line. The 3 mile run took me about 40 minutes, which is pretty good considering that is how long it takes me even without the swim and the bike before hand.

Like I said, it was a lot of fun. I chatted with some great people along the way. I loved training and am actually kind of sad I don't have this to look forward to anymore. I definitely recommend a Triathlon to anyone (there were people even more overweight than me doing it). I especially recommend it to people who tamper with the idea of running a marathon but just think it would be torture. A sprint Tri takes less time to complete and you get a nice break in your workouts cause there are three events instead of just one.

Well here we GO!

Besides the fact that I totally disagree with Ben and Liz, of course respectfully. I have to agree with Pops! At the same time I just thought I should say that we shouldn't do this because its just going to invoke bad feelings. Neither canidate is perfect despite one of them being compared to Christ (which is crazy). We just have to agree to disagree. I love you all, I just side with the Right side!LOL
