Miscellaneous

I just finished reading this book and I loved it. I was touched by how much one man can give of himself. Greg Mortenson sacrificed so much so that children in Pakistan can have the education they deserve. I share his love of the Muslim people and I just wish everyone in America could see what a wonderful culture Islam is.

Ben and I went to the temple this weekend. I love the DC temple. We performed some sealings. We got to do families with children and it made me think of my little niece that is adopted. I'm so grateful for the sealing power. And I'm so grateful families are forever.

These are my favorite girls. I love them so much. The one in long sleeves only has a 3rd grade reading level, but she works so hard and always earns A's. I love her. The one in orange is brilliant, and I can't wait to see her go to college someday.

To Liz

I have noticed you never write on our blog but write a ton on your own, what's up with that?

Tuesday Night Movie Review for 6/3/08

This week's movie was "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". I really liked the first three Indiana Jones movies so I was really looking forward to this. I was really disappointed. It wasn't the same. The use of stunt doubles was painfully obvious (yes I know Harrison Ford is 65 but still), he only uses his whip a couple of times, there aren't really any of those brain teaser booby traps and there's aliens. I was ok with everything else until the aliens came in. It was ridiculous. It was kind of nice that he got back together with Marion Ravenwood (from Raiders of the Lost Ark) but not enough to make up for the rest of it. If you want to see it I would suggest waiting until it comes out on DVD. Half a thumb up.

Oh! And the bit with the giant ants, DISGUSTING!!!!! Worse by far than the Nazi's faces melting off.

Dad Hard at Work

How the creek looked before the rains came.

We had to skip the last three holes because of a huge storm which totally flooded the course.

At the awards dinner afterwards.

That's me about to miss a long putt.

Had to attend a golf tourney in KC. It was sponsored by one of our customers.
