Sew Good

Over the course of Christmas and my birthday I have gotten some gifts that will hopefully help me up my domestic skills. Mom got me a book on hand mending so I decided to try to fix a hole in one of my pajama shirts so if I did I bad job (which I did) then no one would notice.

The finished product of the sewing project (my picture of the hole wouldn't upload) the book tricked me, it told me to only use 18 inches of thread but that wasn't near enough! Oh well, I gotta start somewhere.
My handy book and my sewing kit (thank Ma!)
We're having a super bowl party at Steve's Mom's house so I made cookies because I got frosting tips from Rachel and James for my birthday. I think they turned out pretty well considering it was my first frosting decorating experience.
* Note the garbage truck and the heart, not really related to the super bowl but I thought they were fun.

I'm well on my way (it's going to be a SLOW climb) to becoming a domestic goddess! Move over Martha!!
