Then thank Bill Clinton for the mess he made.

Assuming arguendo that this really is the genesis of the current credit problem then you also need to thank Bush Jr. for letting it fester for almost 8 years...

You mean not including the over 17 times he told Congress that there was a problem coming in banking? Or you mean when Demenci (sic) the democratic head of the house banking committee who stopped legislaton to control FANEMAE because he thought the were doing a great job?

You mean the 13 years the Republicans controlled Congress? Well I guess 13 years isn't too much time to change things. Check and mate.

How did we go from 8 yrs to 13 yrs and for the last 2 yrs it been a democratic congress so that makes 6 yrs and it is only in the last 2 yrs that Congress lowered the percentage of capital that Fannie Mae has to hold and this is a great deal of what caused this. And how do you blame Bush he does write the laws. Check your Check mate.

Well seeing as it's Congress that makes laws (though the president may influence policy) and that the Republicans were in control of Congress from 1994 to 2007 that's 13 years of GOP control 6 of which they controlled both houses and the Presidency. If Clinton is responsible for the problem they at least tacitly allowed it to be created and certainly failed to fix it. That's checkmate.

Not to get into this but I'm going too...If anyone thinks it is not both parties faults then their stupid! To say its all the Republicans faults is just ludicris! To say its all the democrats fault is idiotic! Both parties have fault and that is the bottom line. If everyone keeps looking backward how will we ever move forward!

By the way did anyone read the Church's stance on abortion that was in the Ensign? Did anyone listen to the idea to prayerfully seek out a canidate that is most in accordance with Christ's stance...not man's! I have to say that I will vote for LIFE!

Also I don't think anyone just deserves handouts because they live in the United States! We are united in the idea of good work ethic and what happened to "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!" Be self reliant. Our system is set up to cater to the destruction of morals and values...and most of all destroy the family!

Call me a flip-flopper, I don't care. I'd rather say I'm wrong than go against what I know to be true.
