I'm engaged!

We had the missionaries over last night and we were talking about covenants and ordinances and the subject of baptism came up. They ask Simon if he would be willing to be baptized a member of the church and he said yes. They then told him that in order for him to be baptized we would either need to be living separately or married. He sat there a thought about that for a minute and then excused himself and went to the bedroom. He came back with a little blue box and said that he was going to wait until Christmas but he couldn't wait anymore. I think the elders were as shocked as I was (although Elder Bushnell said he thought that's what Simon went to get). For a few minutes all I could do was sit there and ask him if he was serious. Then, of course I said yes. We have no definite plans as of yet, but Lauren has already appointed herself my wedding planner. :) Um, yeah, forget that, we're getting married on Christmas Eve.

Here's a picture of the ring, I know it's not the best but it's just a single square cute diamond and I love it!

Man, those missionaries have quite a story to tell for the rest of their lives.

We are so excited for you guys. Not to sway you, cause I agree you deserve the wedding you want . . . but Ben and I were only engaged 7 weeks and that was plenty long enough to find the perfect dress, cake, decorations, and all. Plus, I mean you have Lauren to boss around.

Again, we are so excited! Let us know as soon as you have a date. And this time, at least text us before we find it on FB! Kidding, only kidding (but I am going to tease you about that for a couple weeks at least). We love you Sam!

I'm so happy for you both. Even though I don't know Simon, I hear good things about him and I know you two will be great together. I can't wait to see you both at Christmas. That is a great engagement story. Congratulations again. Love you Sammy!

Hey hey congratulations Sam and Simon!! I really like your ring it looks totally vintage. I can't wait for the wedding; although, I could have waited to go through that planning process again. Can I get an amen? :) Well see ya both in no time!!

Amen squared! The worst part is the invitations after that the rest doesnt seem too bad, til your wedding day when you discover one of your bridesmaid has ripped off a piece of her dress. Just kidding.
