We are having a BBQ today with Ben's law school friends. We want to celebrate their first year of law school. I think I'll have to throw another one for all my first year teaching buddies. That will be a big party though, and we'll be the only Mormons. I wonder how I'd tell them the drinks will all be sodas. Well, for those of you who don't know. I got my job back and I'm real excited cause most the other teachers are staying there too. We've made it through one crazy year together, bring on another.
So, the other day this kid ran into my classroom talking about how he got shot at the night before. He acted all nonchalant about it. He even laughed when he told us his friend was shot in the leg. It was kind of disturbing. Later, I brought it up to one of my other classes and they were all like, "Yeah, that's the life. Dodging bullets." Maybe we don't want to live in the city. . . but the apartment we found is a STEAL. Bring on the city of 169 murders in 2006. We'll have to practice our dodgeball moves.

Well maybe they should desing some sleak business attire that also happens to be bullet proof..I'm gonna look into that..The barbeque sounds like a lot of fun!! But if there's one thing I learned about lawyers from Law & Order is that they love their liquor! :) Well congrats to both of you for surviving a strenuous year! I want to see pics of the new apt..
